The Toubkal trek is moderate to challenging. A reasonable level of fitness is needed for hiking to the summit. Desert activities are easy.

What is included in the price?

The price includes transport, accommodation, some meals, mountain guide, camel ride, entrance fees, and porter support on Toubkal trek.

Comfortable hiking shoes, warm clothes for Toubkal (it can be cold), sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, water bottle, and personal items.

Can beginners do this trip?

Yes, beginners can do it if they are reasonably fit, but the summit day is physically demanding. Guides provide support and tips along the way.

Climb to the top of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa, then set off on a 4-day adventure to the Merzouga desert. Discover Berber villages, visit Ait Benhaddou and Todra Gorges, ride camels across the dunes, and sleep under the stars in a desert camp before returning to Marrakech.

Day 1 :

Marrakech – Imlil – Toubkal Refuge (3207m)

Depart Marrakech early morning and drive to Imlil (1,740m).
Begin trekking through Aroumd and Mizane Valley.
Ascend gradually to the Toubkal Refuge, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 2 :

Summit Mount Toubkal – Return to Imlil – Marrakech

Early start for the climb to the summit of Mount Toubkal (4,167m).
Enjoy panoramic views stretching from the Atlas to the Sahara.
Descend back to Imlil and transfer to Marrakech for overnight stay

Day 3 :

Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Drive across the High Atlas via Tizi n’Tichka Pass.
Visit the UNESCO site of Ait Benhaddou and the film studios of Ouarzazate.
Continue through Skoura oasis to the Dades Valley. Overnight in a hotel/guesthouse.

Day 4 :

Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)

Explore the dramatic Todra Gorges, a paradise for climbers and photographers.
Drive through Erfoud and into the desert of Merzouga.
Camel trek across Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset to reach your desert camp.
Dinner and traditional music under the starry sky.

Day 5 :

Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

Wake up early for sunrise over the dunes.
Ride camels or 4x4 back to Merzouga.
Visit the local market in Rissani before continuing through the Draa Valley.
Overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 6 :

Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech

Morning visit of Taourirt Kasbah (optional).
Scenic drive back to Marrakech via the High Atlas mountains.
Drop-off at your accommodation.
